Religious Education Program

Mission Statement
The mission of St. Thomas the Apostle Religious Education program, under the guidance of the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend, is to provide a Catholic Religious Education program through Christ regardless of race, ethnic background or economic status. The pastoral staff and catechist will encourage and teach all students to follow their baptismal calling and to live their lives as Jesus taught us.

Children, pre-school through 8th grade will begin this year’s children’s faith formation programs on Sunday, September 12, 2010.

Children’s Liturgy of the Word will take place during the 8:45 a.m. Mass and is for children 3-6 years old.

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd will be held on Sunday mornings from 10:15 – 11:00 a.m. for pre-school children and 2:00 -2:45 on Tuesdays.

Religious Education is for children in Kindergarten through 8th grade from 10:00 – 11:10 a.m. on Sunday mornings.

Elkhart Lifeteen is a combined youth ministry program made up of High School parishioners from St. Vincent’s and St. Thomas. This youth ministry program is open to all high school students on Sunday evenings from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
